Pada hari Jumat, 18 Oktober 2024, Program Studi Magister Tadris Bahasa Inggris melaksanakan kuliah tamu dengan menghadirkan dosen PBI UNY, Ibu Yuyun Yulia, S.Pd. M.Pd., Ph.D. melakukan review pada rancangan proposal thesis mahasiswa semester 3. Bu Yuyun menyampaikan bahwa: Pada penulisan latar belakang masalah menyampaikan research gap. Writing from the broader ideas to the less general to the least general and more spesific. Try to create the outline scratching in the background of study. Identification of the research tells something new. Limit the problem then write the research questions, avoid yes / no question, better using to what extend. For master degree at least two research questions. RQ number 1 split into a and b. RQ number 2 can be splitted into a, b, c. When research problem related to research objectives in line.

Research method, Students ajukan judul dengan variasi method. Di UNY semua judul dari mahasiswa di rapatkan dan dishare ke dosen untuk memilah R and D di S1 = expert judgement; S 2 = uji skala kecil ; S3 = uji skala besar. Research type, site, data source, data collection techniques (instruments?), and trustworthines, data analysis. Yang tidak kalah menarik adalah bahwa kegiatan ini akan dilaksanakan secara berkelanjutan sebagai bagian dari kolaborasi kerjasama antara prodi PBI UNY dan prodi MTBI UIN Salatiga.
